Friends of iThemba

The dynamic fundraising arm in the US is entitled ‘Friends of iThemba’ which is an accredited 501c (3) educational foundation.

The group is actively involved in spreading the word regarding iThemba and encouraging support for the organisation.

Board members play an active role in guiding iThemba’s focus and direction. All board members have visited South Africa and have witnessed the need for positive action. South African Chairman, Danie van den Heever, visits the US on an annual basis to meet with the board and present to friends of the organisation regarding updates and progress.

The group is passionate about iThemba and remains in regular contact with the South African staff to observe the uplifting growth of the children and the organisation as a whole.
