Zamani - (born 5 March 1999)

Zamani is an exceptionally bright, serious little boy who tends to be contemplative. He attends the iThemba Academy and his mid-year 2009 report described him as someone who shows a keen interest in his work, approaches it in a purposeful manner and who participates with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. He has produced excellent work in creative writing. Zamani is proving to be an outstanding chess player and is at the point where he will be defeating the chess master on the computer!


Siboniso (Wiseman) - (born 21 May 1996)

Siboniso, known as Wiseman, is entering Grade 7 at the Hillcrest Christian Academy from 2010. This young man has strong leadership potential. He has excellent interpersonal skills and is confident in social situations. He has a lovely voice and takes the lead when singing with a group. Wiseman enjoys sport and plays cricket and soccer.

 

Mbali - (born 8 February 1998)

Mbali, or Pinky as she prefers to be called, loves to play hockey and netball. She is fortunate to play netball for the Hillcrest Christian Academy team where she has met many other friends. Her brothers say that she loves to laugh and always has a smile on her face. Her school reports reveal that she is regarded as someone who works with commitment and motivation and who makes a positive contribution to the class. Despite the fact that her previous education was through the medium of Afrikaans, Pinky has become fluent in both written and spoken English. She is a friendly, enthusiastic little girl with a ready smile.

Nomfundo - (born 30 August 1998)

Nomfundo, who uses her middle name Perseverance, has recently turned eleven. She attends Kenmont School where she is excelling. She enjoys swimming and netball and has a special interest in gospel music and the writing of lyrics. She enjoys solitary time and says she enjoys the indoors where she can lis ten to music. She has expressed an interest in learning to play the piano.


Musa - (born 24 June 1992)

Bongamusa, or Musa as he is known, is a friendly, imaginative and creative young man. He has strong interpersonal skills and is always on hand to extend hospitality to guests to his home, readily attending to their needs and trying to ensure that all are comfortable. He attends Hillcrest High School where he is well liked by his educators and peers. He enjoys playing hockey. His congeniality and fine manners have been recognised at school where he was given the ‘courtesy’ award earlier this year. He has recently started guitar lessons and is finding great joy in learning to play this instrument.

   

TK - (born 8 January 1991)

Thokozani, affectionately known as TK, is the eldest boy in the family. He attends Hillcrest High School where he has entered Grade 12. TK’s strong leadership qualities were recognized and he was awarded his prefect colours for 2010. He has a great sense of humour and enjoys playing basketball and rugby. He attends Youth with his siblings at Hillcrest Christian Academy on Friday evenings. He is a talented public speaker and enjoys poetry. He is a mature young man with well developed interpersonal skills.
