A Hopeful Christmas

The contagious joy of giving continues to be a sentiment which Tayla-Anne Goss, Team Leader at Focus on iThemba, holds high, especially during the festive season.

Collaborating with Wakefields, Cotswold Downs Estate, KEY Group, Women’s Auxilliary of Hillcrest Methodist Church and Waterfall Preparatory, our campus-based NPO is set to create many smiles this Christmas! Wakefields has been partnering with Focus on iThemba for a couple of years on hosting an annual Christmas party at Siyabaphephisa Pre-School, otherwise known as Project Bright. These parties are always highly anticipated and result in much laughter and delight! Two new joy creating projects this year are the Christmas gift box initiatives driven by Costwold Downs Estate for the little ones at Sizakancane Pre-School and the Women’s Auxilliary of Hillcrest Methodist Church at Siyajabula Pre-School.

“The initiative undertaken by Waterfall Prep, in collaboration with the Heart for Hope club, to inspire hope through the blessing of Christmas Hope boxes, has warmed our hearts for the second year in a row”, says Tayla-Anne. “The effort taken to carefully and lovingly pack the box with treasured items and messages of hope for the little ones at Sthandokuhle Pre-School is praiseworthy. We would love to expand this reach to more of our partnering Pre-Schools next year – if you are inspired to sprinkle some joy over the festive season please do be in touch.”    tayla@focusonithemba.org
