Our team could not be more pleased with the outcome of the Kerry Annual Charity Golf Day; it was a roaring success! Not only did we have such fun being out on the green, hitting a few balls ourselves, but we also enjoyed the opportunity to interact with the players and share a bit more about the work we do.
We are excited to announce that the golf day generated near to R300,000.00, all of which will be allocated to facilitating quality education through our flagship programmes. “Our team at Focus on iThemba is overwhelmed by the generosity of Kerry Ingredients and all those who supported us in the golf day,” said Tayla-Anne Goss, Focus on iThemba Team Leader. “We are incredibly grateful to be continuing our impact in the iThemba Scholars and Educare Programmes with this donation and value our long-standing partnership with the Kerry Ingredients team.”
Kerry Ingredients have been supporting our programmes since 2018. “At Kerry we Inspire food and nourish life, the partnership with Focus on iThemba and the fantastic work they do speaks to our nourishing life moto,” explained Greg Matthews, Key Accounts Manager at Kerry Ingredients. “The golf day is a small way in which we can give back to the communities in which we operate in and through Focus on iThemba, help grow hearts and minds. We hope to continue this partnership and help the youth of South Africa for many more years to come.”
Our aim at Focus on iThemba is to create meaningful and lasting change by investing in children through quality education. We focus on facilitating quality Early Childhood Development to our ten partner Pre-Schools in the Valley of 1000 Hills through power collaborations with accredited training, education and nutrition organisations. We also facilitate a private, donor-funded scholarship programme where boys and girls from our partnering Pre-Schools are selected to attend Waterfall Schools from Grade 000 (3 years old).
Organisations or individuals that would like to know more about supporting these programmes are welcome to get in touch with us!
Supporting Focus on iThemba at the Kerry Ingredients Golf Day are Greg Matthews, Paul Hewitt, Liam Loughnane and Martin Dovey from Kerry Ingredients.
