An egg-citing Easter

This week brought an abundance of joy to our team as we were able to \’sweeten\’ the day of our partnering pre-schools with a special  chocolate surprise for Easter. The look of sheer delight and excitement on the faces of children and staff simply warmed our hearts and is all thanks to the generosity of families from Waterfall Preparatory School and the Women\’s Auxiliary of Hillcrest Methodist Church.

\”Helping children become mindful, not only of how much they can be thankful for, but also the needs of so many in our community, is part of developing our future,\” says Brad Cooper, Headmaster of Waterfall Prep. \”Sometimes even a reminder that you have been thought of is significant! We hope to grow in our pupils an enjoyment of blessing out of being blessed. We were blown away by the response of our families, who donated almost 2000 marshmallow eggs. It is joy for us to share this with the community.\”

Incredibly, we received just over 2050 Easter eggs which were distributed to the 10 schools in our Educare Programme. Sharing her excitement about receiving them, Principal of Project Joy, Bonisiwe Gala said, \”This is truly wonderful and means a lot to me and my school! Thank you for making our day. The children will enjoy looking for their Easter eggs in the hunt later!\”

We extend a very warm and heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this Easter initiative! Your thoughtfulness and generosity has impacted many hearts and minds this Easter season.
